Six Months of Insanity

Well, I keep thinking I might as well stop blogging since there's no way to catch up on everything that's happened in the past several months. I finally just decided to grab a bunch of random photos and get something up here. There's a lot missing, but it gives an idea of some of the things we've been up to.

I have never seen the joy on Jane’s face that I saw the night she got a “rainbow kitty” painted on her. Every year here the stake has a daddy daughter dance in February. As you can tell, Jane and Audrey LOVED it.

Adam happened to be home the morning of the only snow this past winter, so they got to make a snowman.

Ellie’s first (only) snow!

Easter eggs! (collected in Halloween buckets)

Adam’s brother and his family came to visit, so of course we took a Bluebell factory tour.

Some birds kept building a nest in our grill and one day we discovered 5 robin eggs in it. Adam’s brother and his kids convinced us to have compassion on the birds and leave the nest. Well, they hatched and this is what newborn robins look like.

We went to Washington, D.C. to visit my parents who are serving a mission there.

At an airplane history museum. I think she'd make a pretty cute pilot.

Or they could be astronauts.

Washington, D.C. Temple.

We spent some time with my sister in South Carolina. The kids made a water slide.

Jane had a recital for her ballet class.

Foster Family Reunion in Denver and Breckenridge. This isn't everybody, but there are waaay to many pictures to go through so I grabbed one with a bunch of us in it.

After Breckenridge we went to Utah for the Ragnar Relay Race. We did a cookout in the mountains for Jane's fourth birthday and her kind cousin made her a pinata of her favorite stuffed animal, Jonas the Bear.

Ellie got a couple of first birthday cakes. This was her first one, mini brownie sundaes. We had some people over for family home evening and sang to her.

On her actual birthday we got to sing to her twice!

Audrey got the big birthday party this year, complete with friends and lots of presents. She wanted a pirate party so the cupcakes were X-marks-the-spot cupcakes. There is a (chocolate) gold coin buried under the X and the kids had to follow a map to find the hidden treasures. It was fun! Here is Audrey making a wish (maybe saying a prayer) before she blows our her candles.
That's it! February through August in a nutshell!
