Christmas and January

There's so much to catch up on I'm just going to post a bunch of pictures:

Jane cut her own hair. ("Jane only people who know how to cut hair are allowed to cut hair." "But I do know how to cut hair!") We went to a friend to get it evened out.

While we were at it we got Audrey's hair cut, too.

A couple miles away from our house is a really large church with an annual Christmas lights display. We heard that there are more than 4 million lights. Here's a picture on the light-covered bridge. Notice the couple on the left.

The music was so loud we didn't even notice the proposal happening right behind Adam til we finished taking pictures and turned to leave.

When they aren't fighting with each other, they are really great friends.

I made these cream cheese filled orange braids to give to friends. Yeah, they were delicious.

Ellie was the only one who wanted to sit on Santa's lap. But Jane did talk to him (a surprise to me) and after Audrey finished picking her nose she was happy to accept a candy cane.

For Christmas Eve dinner we had over three other families from our ward and then reenacted the nativity. In Knight family tradition the kids got to draw papers with the parts written on them and get dressed up. We had to rig Joseph cause there was only one boy, and the babies got to be sheep (Ellie was a bunny). We had twelve little kids running around ages 6 and under and they were mostly girls. It was a lot of fun.

Jane got ballet lessons for Christmas and has been thoroughly enjoying them.

Best friends!

Here's Ellie next to a book of Audrey. Do ya think they look like sisters?

Ellie refuses to eat baby food, but she loves eating grass and sticks.

Adam and I celebrated five blissful years of marriage in January. He was working nights and had to work that weekend, so we went out the next week. It was still fun :)

Nothing greater in childhood than licking the beater clean. Not sure what I'll do when the third one starts asking for a beater. Since there are only two beaters...

We finally broke down and got a twin mattress for Audrey to sleep on instead of a crib mattress. She loves her big girl bed.

Couldn't pick just one shot. This girl is so much fun!
